I love this new cardigan i have from H&M. It's pretty big though, since it's a 40 but oversized already, and so i might try and change it for a smaller one on Kleider Kreisel. I'm obsessed with it, it's so much better than Ebay because you don't have to worry about competing with another bidder and the stuff there is quality!

IPHONE♥ Next weekend i am going to Berlin for New Years Eve to spend it with my best friend and i really cannot wait for it! I haven't seen her in two months and i'm looking forward to seeing the town get rowdy and watching the fireworks over the Brandenburg Gate. I really love that city. I also found out today that early in the new year we are going to Bavaria and to Belgium as well, which i'm so excited about! And i have to organise a trip home to London next month as well. All of my English friends here in Hamburg have just gone home for Christmas and so now i am the only one left here for Christmas and it's my first Christmas away from home.. :(

Admittedly, quite a boring outfit post since i wanted to just post a photo of my go-to outfit, which i wore today. Basically when i can't be bothered to put much thought into what i'm wearing or i'm just running into the city for something, this is what i throw on. Simple but still nice, and black jeans and my suede wedges are always easy items to work around.

Dom Outfit

I wore this a few weeks ago to the Dom, a really big carnival here in Hamburg. I have skin colour tights on too, so i really wasn't cold even though it was totally rainy and some people were looking at my legs. Have you never seen legs before?! And one guy just shouted "KALT!" at me, and my answer was just: "no, i'm from England!" O:)
Now i have to get ready quickly to go and meet some friends at Jungfernstieg. I'm in my pajamas.. whoops!

Had an amazing weekend with my girls. On Saturday we went to Harburg to do some Christmas shopping, although i still have bought nothing. I'm planning to back out there during the week because the weekend is absolute chaos! Then we came back to mine and spent ages getting ready, listening to music and having pre-drinks, then left at 2.43 to go out, standard. We always have the funniest encounters on the Reeperbahn and met so many people. At 7am we met some guys at Landungsbrücken who took us to the Fischmarkt, which was a bit of a disappointment after all its hype. By then our heels were killing us and we got back to mine and slept until 4.30pm then out to Blankenese for a while and back to Jungfernstieg for the pub quiz. I am having the best time i have ever had. :)

SNOOOOOOOOOW!

Today it snooooooooowed in Hamburg! :):) It snowed yesterday too shortly, but i missed it, so i had to go into the city today to try and catch it and i did! It was only for about half an hour and i had just gotten comfy in Starbucks when it started out the window, so i didn't want to run outside although i wish i had. I've been waiting 9-10 months for this day. It's been raining the whole week, which sucks, but the forecast says it is going to snow a bit more tonight and it's getting colder, so hopefully this is the start of the snow season!

Pictures from Sunday at the Chrismtmas market in Hamburg. My friend visited me and we went to Starbucks and got some Christmas frappes! Then in McDonalds i had a "Nürnburger", which was a special hamburger with sausages in it instead of meet. So German ;)

The reason the last two pictures are out of focus is because while we were in McDs, i noticed something was wrong with my focal lens and it was stuck and so it wouldn`t focus. Then for the next few hours i was gutted thinking i had broken it somehow, but then when i got home and took it apart i fixed it again luckily by clicking it into place and anyway, i thought the effect that it left on the photos looked really cool.

And.. IT'S DECEMBER! I can't believe there is just one month left of this amazing year! But still no sign of snow. :(

30 November

1. December tomorrow! I don't actually have an advent calender this year, but i suppose it would only be an excuse for extra calories for a whole 24 days. But i'm so excited for Christmas- it's coming up really fast and i absolutely love this season. Going to Starbucks at Jungfernstieg and spending evenings at the Weihnachtsmarkt. I don't want it to end at all. 25 sleeps to go. :)

Went into the city today to get a Starbucks at Jungfernstieg. Got a Toffee Nut latte, but i really prefer it as a frappè, even despite the weather being 1°c. I'm going to be really sad when Christmas is over and they stop selling them.

Also went for a run this morning in Stadtpark, which felt so good since i haven't been for a run in a few weeks (so lazy!) and i miss it like crazy. Since July last year i used to go to the gym 3+ times a week and run every day that i wasn't at the gym, as well as 2-3 days hockey each week and also eat so healthy, but then when i moved to Germany that all turned to custard. Hopefully i can persuade myself to get out and run more often again, but it's getting so cold now that the motivation to step outside of the warm house is low. And the constant presence of Christmas cookies in the house and want for a warm meal are causing me trouble.

Tried a video Outfit of the day for the first time on Friday before heading up to the Reeperbahn. Had such a bad day on Friday- worked overtime so i had to cancel plans with my friend, which was so annoying :(. Then i left my phone on the bus, so now it´s gone and was so upset going home, but then my friend told me just come out anyway and i´m glad i did because it was a great night, didn´t get to sleep until 6am, and then had to work at 9am, but oh well, you´re only young once! (watch in HD!)

Yesterday i had some free time over lunch and was craving a Starbucks gingerbread latte, so i went into town to Jungferntieg and am standing in line when the guy in front of me suddenly turns around and says something in English to me. I was so surprised because this is Germany and wasn´t expecting to hear English and the first thing i said was "how did you know i was English?!" and he said didn't, just that everyone here can speak English anyway, which is partly true. Anyway, he was telling me about how he's from America and in Hamburg for the week for work and then he paid for my drink too, said it was really nice meeting me and went off on his way. :) How nice that a complete stranger bought my drink for me just as a random act of kindness. Made my day!

Hamburg's looking so christmasy already with fairy lights and christmas decorations everywhere. The Christmas markets at Jungfernstieg and the Rathaus are both already being built and i can't wait for them to open. Gonna spend a lot of evenings there walking through the snow and drinking Gluhwein. I love the whole Christmas/winter season here and i've never even been as excited about it as i am this year in Germany, since where i grew up there was nothing special about a summer Christmas. 40 days!

I´m OBSESSED with my new navy gilet from H&M. I really wanted to splash out for a Jack Wills one, but that means one) waiting two months until i´m back in England and can visit a JW store and two) it saved me odd £80 ;)
Too bad it´s suddenly become freezing here in Hamburg, (2°c today) that you can not survive without being bundled up in a winter coat.

Outfit photos from Friday night we went out to the Sternschanze and the Reeperbahn! Had an amazing night and went into a lot of clubs in Große Freiheit. Have any of my German readers been to the Reeperbahn? You definitely must whilst in Hamburg, the nightlife is amazing there and everyone was still partying hard after 6am when we left! But then i had to wait 20 minutes in the cold outside Hbf for my bus, which sucked, so next time i need to get my timing right with the S1.

It´s really moving onto winter now and autumn is disappearing quickly as each day the yellow leaves on the trees are less and less and accumulating as piles on the footpath . Sorry if that sounded poetic, but it´s hard to talk about something like seasons without being poetic! I actually just ripped these jeans this evening after taking these photos, which i´m pretty gutted about because i´ve worn them so much they feel like a part of me! Oh well, RIP h&m jeans :(

New things: black pop skirt h&m and dalmation oversize shirt from h&m via ebay.

It´s November today! Hard to believe that there are only two months left of 2011. I was looking at my 100 things to do list i made for this year and i still need to cross at least 20 more off. My aim is to achieve at least 50, but a lot of them were really tough ones...

I started the month good by going for a run today and then doing about 40 minutes of cardio afterwards. Hopefully i can keep it up for the rest of the month and for next and then i will be able to cross some more things off of my list before 2012. I was at Jungfernstieg today and got this skirt, which i´ve been meaning to buy for absolute months and i´m so glad i finally did! The best thing about this skirt is that because it´s so simple, you can wear it with every kind shirt over leggings and make it more "acceptable" rather than just wearing leggings. Every single day my outfit consists of leggings now, and i don´t have enough bum-covering shirts, so this skirt is like the perfect cure!

I don´t take the time to look back, i´m just not a nostalgic kid and that´s that.

Outfit post from going into town Friday evening. Everything is getting really christmasy now- there are lights along Mönckebergstraße and in Karstadt there are Christmas trees in the front windows and stuff. In the supermarkets they´ve released the Milka Christmas stuff. Not long now until Chistmas! :)
